Thank you Author Anise Starre for this ARC。 I am voluntarily leaving this review。 Bailey is an influencer who had an embarrassing public break up。 When asked to go to a free trip to Jamaica, her brother encourages her to ask Caspian to tag along as her fake boyfriend。 Being her brothers best friend,he agrees。 Can this fake agreement turn into something real? Spicy, sexy and an overall fun read!

It removes the everyday world obstacles out of their way and they HAVE to deal with their issues, whether it being sizzling tension or long term hostilities。 Me? I love the hostilities。 Ha!That was the first thing that sold me this book。 Bailey Clarke and Caspian Reid don't exactly have hostilities between them but they aren't on good terms with each other。 Bailey believes Caspian or Cash, her brother's best friend, hates her。 Why? She doesn't know。 She has the opportunity to rebuild her crumbling career as an influencer and Cash seems to be the only one who can help。 By pretending to be her fake boyfriend at a couples only resort for a week!Sounds interesting? Absolutely! There's a lot to unpack here。 Bailey is the POV character and we are acquainted with her conflicted thought process from the first page。 She’s dealing with a lot。 She’s lost her boyfriend, her apartment, and she has to bear uncalled for blame for things she didn’t do。 If that wasn’t awful enough she also has to deal with her parent’s judgement of her career of choice。 There’s a lot to sympathize about here。 The girl needed a hug so bad。 Caspian Is。。。 *dreamy sigh* he has long hair。 Long hair。 He spent most of the book in a man bun。 Why is that so hot? And he is shy around Bailey。 Hot。 Damn。 Ugh。 I’m totally crushing。 The only problem is I think we didn’t get to know him enough。 Dane, Bailey’s brother, is probably my favourite character。 I so hope he gets his own book! Amber and the ‘disgustedly handsome dickhead’ client。。。 I need their book。 It’s a necessity。 The influencer girls on the resort, LOVE them。 This story has so much potential and author did a great job on it。 The writing is simple and easy to understand。 A star for characters, a star for plot and star for the good writing! But there were some things that made me keep the last two stars。 First, I’ve mentioned it above, we don’t get to know Cash enough。 He’s the male lead。 We NEED to know him。 We don’t get anything from his point of view until the epilogue which is perfectly fine。 The problem is we are not given enough interactions between Bailey and Cash, or Cash with anyone else for that matter, to get to know him。 We do get the interactions but it’s just Bailey telling us Cash is having this conversation with x, he’s laughing with y, he’s playing with z, etc。 We are told the context of the conversation as well。 But I felt detached from it all。 I wished we were shown these things as separate scenes。 Remember, he is not the POV character。 We don’t have insight into his head like we do in Bailey’s so we need to have enough interactions with him, long conversations that give us hints of what he could be thinking or what kind of a person he is。 At least that’s what I think。 I felt detached from him as a reader。 Which is disappointing because I was looking forward to get to know him。 I will add though, I picked it up from his first page appearance that he’s in love with Bailey。 That particular point, and how his actions kept getting interpreted wrongly by Bailey, is done perfectly。 Enjoyed the hell out of it。 Second thing that bothered me, the way ‘The Video’ was handled。 I felt it was unnecessarily mystified for way too long。 I understand completely why Bailey did not want to think about it or even share it with anyone。 That’s natural。 But why was the reader kept in dark? She hadn’t done anything wrong。 She was getting wrongfully accused and bullied online for something she didn’t even do。 Why was it kept a secret from us? It did two things。 Considering I already had an inkling of what it would be I was frustrated for more than half of the book when she just wouldn’t say it。 There were so many opportunities。 It could’ve been revealed in one of her conversations with Amber, for example。 It wasn’t。 Instead it was mystified as if she’d accidentally murdered her ex boyfriend in rage and was now hiding his body in her parent’s backyard。 She wasn’t。 Not going to lie, it drove me mad。 Almost DNF’d the book many times because of it but I liked the characters too much to give up so easily。 I’m glad I finished it。 Other than that I enjoyed the book。 One last thing, but this point is subjective I suppose and not the reason for withholding stars。 The description of the book says ‘A steamy fake dating contemporary romance。’ Emphasis on ‘steamy。’ I don’t think this book was steamy enough to be called steamy。 It was more of a slow burn considering we only get one full-on intimate scene very late into the book。 There was sexual tension throughout but it wasn’t sizzling and crackling and burning enough to make it steamy。 It needed more。Maybe I’ve read way too many steamy books by now that this felt innocent in comparison。 Personally I need more。 Someone else might disagree with me so take this with a grain of salt。 Overall, the book was amazing。 Great Job, Author!! I’m looking forward to reading the next books in the series! 。。。more

This is a gorgeous gorgeous story! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Honestly, i’d been reading a couple of romance stories that felt quite cliché and this was just the escapism I needed! Which makes me love her so much and had me rooting for her happy ending through out the entire book。 I was eager to discover if they were going to be able to get past Bailey’s baggage and Cash’s moral objections to having a relationship with his best friends little sister。 It’s a fairly quick read, with a heartwarming epilogue written from the POV of Cash。 One Week in Paradise is a perfect beach read。 3。86/5 。。。more

I received an ARC copy of One Week in paradise from the author, in exchange for an honest review。Bailey is an Instagram influencer who has hit a low point in her career after a viral video shows her in a questionable light。 She loses everything, her boyfriend, her apartment, and countless followers and brand deals, and is living back at home with her parents, who don’t fully understand or support or Influencer career。 After her world is turned upside down, she’s in an understandably dark place, I received an ARC copy of One Week in paradise from the author, in exchange for an honest review。Bailey is an Instagram influencer who has hit a low point in her career after a viral video shows her in a questionable light。 She loses everything, her boyfriend, her apartment, and countless followers and brand deals, and is living back at home with her parents, who don’t fully understand or support or Influencer career。 After her world is turned upside down, she’s in an understandably dark place, and is doubting herself, her passion, and her worthiness of being loved。 When a brand reaches out with an invite to Jamaica to a couples only resort, it seems as if things may begin to turn around for her, except one major detail, Bailey is newly single after The Video。 When her older brother suggests she takes his best friend, Cash, on the trip as a fake boyfriend, she immediately shoots down the idea。 After almost two decades of knowing each other, Cash can barely even stand to be in the same room with her, so why on earth would he go on a couple’s holiday to Jamaica with Bailey?Cash almost immediately agrees, and that’s where the story begins to take off。 7 days in Jamaica changed everything for Bailey and Cash。 We get to see Bailey rediscover her passion being an influencer, develop new friendships and relationships, and ultimately push aside the negativity and rumors that are so easily spread online, and own up to her truth while also standing up for herself。 I loved reading about the influencer life and some of the lows that can come with it, especially since it is such a glamorized lifestyle right now。 And watching Bailey gain her confidence back and being able to open up to and trust Cash after everything she went through, made me want to hug her。 I absolutely loved this book。 It was an extremely quick read, but for me, the pacing was perfect。 Especially when you’re looking for something light to break up darker reads。 The fake dating and miscommunication tropes were done well, and I loved seeing bits and pieces of Cash’s true feelings shine through before he shut them down。 I do wish it would have been a dual POV, so that we could see more of what was going on in Cash’s head (especially after the massage!) But the chemistry between those two is electric and you could feel it through the pages。 I really hope there is a sequel to their story somewhere down the road。For more book recs & reviews, and bookish content, feel free to connect with me onInstagram and check out my website at Ink to Novel 。。。more

This book was super cute! I read it in one sitting, which is saying something! It was the perfect escape for me。 I could feel the Jamaican resort setting, and it was really fun to be transported through both the resort and Cash and Bailey's budding relationship。 It was just what I needed between some heavier reads, and also with some sick kiddos at home at the moment。 It was also an excellent cure for these lingering winter blues! If you're a fan of enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, only o This book was super cute!
